A Fistful of Hope · Our First Initiative

When foster care ends, home shouldn't.

We provide safe shared housing and real support for young people aging out of foster care — so no one steps into adulthood alone, unhoused, or without hope.

No young person should face homelessness the day they age out.

Our Promise

All are welcome here.

For a young person leaving foster care, a doorway can be the scariest place in the world — or the start of something new. We're building the kind of front step where every young person knows they belong, and that someone is glad they walked through the door.

The Need

Aging out of foster care is a cliff, not a bridge.

Every year, thousands of young people leave foster care between 18 and 21 with no family to return to and no safety net to catch them. Within months, far too many face homelessness, housing instability, unemployment, and exploitation. The moment care ends is the most dangerous — and the most preventable.

What Drives Us

A roof and a roadmap.

Our Mission

Stability, dignity, and independence

A Fistful of Hope offers safe shared housing and support to people rebuilding their lives — from those in recovery to youth aging out of foster care, veterans, and others — helping them find stability, dignity, and independence.

Our Vision

No one rebuilds alone

A world where no one has to rebuild their life alone — where safe housing opens the door to healing, purpose, and belonging.

Our Program · Pathways to Stability

Housing paired with everything that makes housing last.

At the heart of A Fistful of Hope is a simple belief: a young person leaving foster care needs more than a roof — they need a path. Pathways to Stability, our core program, pairs safe housing with real support — helping young people find work, manage money, heal, and lead — and walks alongside each one on the way to independence.

Safe Shared Housing

Furnished shared homes in safe neighborhoods — a stable place to land and rebuild.

Employment & Life Skills

Job readiness, career coaching, and life-skills training that build independence.

Counseling & Mentoring

Trauma-informed counseling, peer mentorship, and financial literacy support.

Youth Voice

A Youth Advisory Board of foster alumni helps design and guide everything we do.

How It Works

Built carefully, with youth at the table.

Pathways to Stability rolls out in two phases — first laying the groundwork with partners and youth, then opening doors and delivering support.

Phase One · Planning

Laying the groundwork

  • Recruit and train the Youth Advisory Board
  • Build partnerships with child welfare, housing, and workforce agencies
  • Design the service model and outreach plan
Phase Two · Implementation

Opening homes, delivering support

  • Open and operate shared housing for foster-care alumni
  • Provide employment, counseling, and life-skills services
  • Put youth leadership at the center of delivery

Who We Are

Founded on a simple belief: no one is disposable.

A Fistful of Hope is the charitable arm of Five On The World Enterprises. We're building on a foundation of leadership in mentorship, housing, and community care — with a commitment to serving young people the systems too often leave behind.

We're starting where the need is sharpest: youth aging out of foster care in Georgia. Over time, we'll extend the same care to veterans, mothers and children, and others working to rebuild — because everyone deserves a safe place to start again.
